Meet the Team

Julia

Julia began her career in periodontics in 2006 through her passion for helping others. As Dr. Britten’s patient care and treatment coordinator, Julia is committed to providing outstanding care to our patients. She feels a sense of pride in the quality of care our office provides each patient. She enjoys coming to work each day alongside a tremendous team! Julia is married to the love of her life, Shane, and they have 5 delightful children. They enjoy traveling and leisure days on the water.

Michelle

As office manager for Dr. Britten, Michelle’s goal is to oversee the day-to-day activities of our practice. She is committed to our patients by helping them have a wonderful experience in our office. Not only do we strive for optimal periodontal health, we feel it is important for our patients to be comfortable and at ease during their experience with us. Many of our patients are like family; she loves hearing their stories between visits. As a team, we love to laugh and have a good time both in and out of the office. Michelle has three grown children and two energetic grandchildren. Traveling, gardening, and just enjoying the outdoors are several of her passions.

Meg

As marketing director and surgical assistant, not only does Meg get to know our incredible patients, but she also loves developing relationships with the wonderful referring dentists in our community and their staff. She is so proud to be part of this practice and believes that we do our best to deliver compassionate and ethical care with a smile. Dr. Britten and Meg met at the University of Florida, where they both received their undergraduate and graduate degrees. Yes, they are lifetime Gators! They have been married since 2008 and have 3 beautiful children. Meg loves spending time with friends and family, painting, sketching, traveling and brushing and flossing of course 🙂

Denise

Denise began her career in the dental field in 1983, giving her over 32 years experience. Prior to moving to Florida, she was an Office Manager for a periodontist in Connecticut. She works part-time as a patient coordinator for Dr. Britten. Denise enjoys her interactions with the patients and Dr. Britten’s team. She “retired” to Florida from Connecticut in 2014 to help her daughter and son-in-law care for her grand-daughter Teagan who is 11 and has Cerebral Palsy. Her grown son lives in Connecticut with his wife and their French English Bulldogs. Denise was a committee member for ACS Relay for Life for seven years in Connecticut. She enjoys walking, reading, coloring, and relaxing by the Bay.

Jen

As one of Dr. Britten’s surgical dental assistants, Jen strives to make our patients feel comfortable as she understands that coming to the dentist can definitely be an experience that causes anxiety! The most important thing to Jen is to help our patients feel more like our family and less like a patient. Her dental career began in the Air Force in 1996. Jen, along with her husband Brian and son Connor, relocated to Florida from New Jersey to be closer to her father. Outside of the office she enjoys reading, swimming and doing fun things with her son.

Ellen

Ellen is one of Dr. Britten’s dental hygienists. She likes to make sure our patients’ comfort and health are of top priority. Some patients are nervous when they come to see us but Ellen does her best to make sure they always end up leaving with a smile! She also helps Dr. Britten with his correspondence reports to our referring doctors’ offices and assists Julia at the front desk. Ellen started out her dental career at the front desk and as a dental assistant in 1997 and graduated as a dental hygienist in 2007. Her joy in life is her family; two daughters who are eight years apart and husband Mike. She enjoys reading, taking spinning classes at the gym and going for long walks along the causeway.

Judy

Judy began her dental hygiene career in periodontics upon graduating from St. Petersburg College in 1970. She worked with a well known periodontist in Clearwater until 2003 when the practice was sold to Dr. Stephen Kobernick. She enjoys working with Dr Britten and the many new skills she has learned including recently obtaining her Certificate in Administering Local Anesthesia. She loves hearing the stories of all of her patients, many of whom she has been seeing for more than 30 years. The comfort of her patients is of utmost importance in her practice, as well as consistently aiming for excellence in their periodontal management both educationally as well as clinically. Her greatest joy is time spent with her three daughters, her granddaughter, and her Welsh Corgi Reggie. She also enjoys walking/running, traveling and her ministry work with Unity Church of Clearwater.

Samantha

As a dental hygienist, Samantha loves getting to know her patients and forming long lasting relationships while helping them achieve optimum oral health. She is proud to say that she has been a part of this practice since graduating from St. Petersburg College in 1998. She is originally from Nassau, Bahamas but has lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1993. Samantha is married with two children and enjoys reading and all things outdoors.
