Julia is married to the love of her life, Shane, and they have 5 incredible children and 1 granddaughter with another due in June 2018. They enjoy traveling and leisure days on the water.

Michelle

As office manager for Dr. Britten, Michelle’s goal is to oversee the day-to-day activities of our practice. She is committed to our patients by helping them have a wonderful experience in our office. Not only do we strive for optimal periodontal health, we feel it is important for our patients to be comfortable and at ease during their experience with us. Many of our patients are like family; she loves hearing their stories between visits. As a team, we love to laugh and have a good time both in and out of the office. Michelle has three grown children and two energetic grandchildren. Traveling, gardening, and just enjoying the outdoors are several of her passions.

Valerie

Valerie began her career in the dental field in 1994, graduating from Pinellas Technical Education Center as a Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions. She worked as a dental and hygiene assistant until 2013 and then began working in front-office reception. Valerie loves her position at Britten Periodontics as a part-time patient coordinator. She has a son Eric, who is 28 years old. For fun Valerie likes to try different foods, loves the beach & pool, and spending time with her significant other, family, friends & French Bulldog Madison.

Meg

Meg helps coordinate marketing and social media campaigns as well as help plan community outreach, team building and continuing education events.  She is so proud to be part of this practice and believes that we do our best to deliver compassionate and ethical care with a smile. Dr. Britten and Meg met at the University of Florida, where they both received their undergraduate and graduate degrees. Yes, they are lifetime Gators! They have been married since 2008 and have 3 beautiful children. Meg loves spending time with friends and family, painting, sketching, traveling and brushing and flossing of course;)

Chris

Chris is one of Dr. Britten’s three surgical assistants. Chris enjoys taking good care of our patients and giving them confidence that they made the right choice coming to our practice. He likes to help empower them to do what is best to improve their oral health. He enjoys the challenges that every new day, every procedure and every patient can bring. Chris started out his dental career in 2013 and is Dental National Board Certified in dental assisting. Prior to moving to Florida, Chris worked at a large oral surgery practice in St. Louis. Chris and his wife Cindi love that there is no snow or cold weather in Florida!

Jen

As one of Dr. Britten’s surgical dental assistants, Jen strives to make our patients feel comfortable as she understands that coming to the dentist can definitely be an experience that causes anxiety! The most important thing to Jen is to help our patients feel more like our family and less like a patient. Her dental career began in the Air Force in 1996.  Since then she has worked in many aspects of the dental office, but by far assisting is her favorite. Jen, along with her husband Brian and son Connor, relocated to Florida from New Jersey to be closer to her father. Outside of the office she enjoyes reading, swimming and cheering on her son’s baseball team.

Alexis

Alexis, aka “Lexi” works closely with Dr. Britten as his surgical dental assistant. She began her dental assisting career in 2015 before she even graduated from dental assisting school. Her calm and encouraging ways guide each patient through the periodontal treatment experience. Her smile brightens the day of each and every patient she sees.

Alexis is originally from Baton Rouge, LA, home of the Cajuns! She enjoys trips to the beach, “Do It Yourself” projects, and video chats with her nephew Ayson Cre.  Lexi aspires to have her own food truck one day.

Judy

Judy began her dental hygiene career in periodontics upon graduating from St. Petersburg College in 1970. She worked with a well known periodontist in Clearwater until 2003 when the practice was sold to Dr. Stephen Kobernick. She enjoys working with Dr Britten and the many new skills she has learned including recently obtaining her Certificate in Administering Local Anesthesia. She loves hearing the stories of all of her patients, many of whom she has been seeing for more than 30 years. The comfort of her patients is of utmost importance in her practice, as well as consistently aiming for excellence in their periodontal management both educationally as well as clinically. Her greatest joy is time spent with her three daughters, her granddaughter, and her Welsh Corgi Reggie. She also enjoys walking/running, traveling and her ministry work with Unity Church of Clearwater.

Samantha

As a dental hygienist, Samantha loves getting to know her patients and forming long lasting relationships while helping them achieve optimum oral health. She is proud to say that she has been a part of this practice since graduating from St. Petersburg College in 1998. She is originally from Nassau, Bahamas but has lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1993. Samantha is married with two children and enjoys reading and all things outdoors.

Ellen

Ellen is one of Dr. Britten’s dental hygienists. She likes to make sure our patients’ comfort and health are of top priority. Some patients are nervous when they come to see us but Ellen does her best to make sure they always end up leaving with a smile! She also helps Dr. Britten with his correspondence reports to our referring doctors’ offices and assists Julia at the front desk. Ellen started out her dental career as both administrator and dental assistant in 1997 and graduated as a dental hygienist in 2007. Her joy in life is her family; two daughters who are eight years apart and husband Mike. She enjoys reading, pizza and going for long walks along the causeway.
